The Buddy Bike, the rear steering tandem bicycle, provides therapeutic activity for kids and adults with autism, down syndrome, sight impairment or other disabilities that would prevent them from safely riding a bike on their own.
 
The Buddy Bike® Classic Deluxe 2025 will be assembled in the USA and built to order in Jupiter, Florida. When we order our new inventory production we will bring in some frames to build in the USA similar to our previous assemblies per the bike shown in the photos. These are the only Buddy Bikes we will build with the Enviolo Trekking hub that provides a novice-friendly ride and seamless shifting.
 
The Buddy Bike® Classic Deluxe 2025 includes our "Classic" frame design and dual handlebar set up on the same stem, a lower front seat that allows both riders to fully enjoy the view, and hybrid tires to provide smooth riding on both paved and off-road trails. Buddy Bike Classic Deluxe also includes disc brakes for the Captain plus a rear wheel V brake for the stoker (front rider) for more braking power. We may offer the choice of cro-moly single crown fork for a lighter ride or a suspension fork for a smooth ride.
 
FRAME SIZES
Buddy Bike Classic Deluxe models include aluminum frames that are available in 2 frame sizes:
 
Buddy Bike Family offers lower top tubes for easier bike mounting, a lower rear rider seat and shorter overall bike length than the Sport frame. Adult riders from 5'4" to 5'8" may find this model to be comfortable. It is highly suggested that adult riders under 5’4” test ride the Buddy Bike prior to making a purchase.
Buddy Bike Sport is our larger frame size that is suitable for Captain/adult riders over 5'7".
 
COLORS
We have not chosen our frame colors yet so please let us know your preference and we will consider it during our production!

Buddy Bike Classic Deluxe includes the Enviolo Trekking hub for seamless shifting, custom built wheels by QBP in USA.
 
ENVIOLO HUB: Both cycling enthusiasts and novices will appreciate the simple functionality of the manual Enviolo Trekking CVP Drivetrain which provides seamless shifting and allows parents to focus on simply enjoying the ride with their child on the Buddy Bike. The Enviolo drivetrain allows riders to change the gear ratio between the pedals and rear wheel in one continuous motion. Just twist the controller slightly on the handlebar and the gear ratio is changed to any ratio within its range. This can be done while freewheeling, pedaling under load, or waiting at a stoplight. Enviolo hubs are self-contained systems which are practically maintenance-free. There are no skipped gears or concerns of a chain coming off the chain ring between gears. Smooth shifting and gear changes eliminate jolts to knees, hips and backs. Riders will tire less, ride longer, and feel better.
