Buddy Bike Family BB102-AL-8 is designed to encourage novices and non-riders to cycle. This bike model includes an aluminum frame in metallic burgundy, bi-pod kickstand for stability and an upgrade to an 8-speed Shimano Nexus internal hub for easy maintenance and pedal-free shifting. This hub offers 60% more power, less drag and a better sealed system to shut out dirt and water than the prior Inter 7 hub. The family bike also offers lower top tubes for easier bike mounting and a lower rear rider seat. Adult riders under 5'7" may be more comfortable with this bike model. For taller riders, rear-rider leg room can be increased by purchasing the SP600-30.4 seat post which sets back the seat an additional 1.25 inches. For child riders, fold-out foot pegs offer a place to rest their feet out of the pedal path. Set back seat post and foot pegs sold separately.
