Buddy Bike Participates in the 7th Annual Great Bike Giveaway
A Fundraising Event That Provides Adaptive Bicycles to Riders with Special Needs

Great Bike Giveaway 2018 - Ends March 7, 2018

There are currently 367 Great Bike Giveaway entrants with 20 entrants raising funds for the Buddy Bike. The entrants have a variety of disabilities including autism, down syndrome, sight impairment and cerebral palsy. The families selected the Buddy Bike for its special feature of placing the smaller rider in the front seat where they can ride safely in the adult rider's view, participate in pedaling and steering the bicycle and be part of family activities. Without the Buddy Bike many of these children will not be able to experience the joy of riding a bicycle.

To help a child reach their Buddy Bike fundraising goal by March 7, 2018 visit greatbikegiveaway.org, click "Filter" and under "By Bike Type" choose "Buddy Bike." Click the donate button for any child or select the donation matching option. Additional funds raised will help other entrants receive bikes as well.

The event started out small but in 6 years has raised over $1 million to award over 1,000 bicycles to people with special needs. The Great Bike Giveaway allows us to provide more of our bikes to the families who need them; but it wouldn't be possible without the support and generous donations of the friends, families and communities of these amazing kids."
