Bike Miami Days is now a monthly event.
Dates for 2009 are: February 21, March 14, April 26 and May 17.

Bike Miami Days returns! Bring the entire family, your dog, maybe not the cat, your bikes, your skates and any other wheels on Saturday, February 21 to downtown Miami. Bike Miami Days is a FREE public event that closes streets to cars in downtown Miami so bicyclists, pedestrians and others can explore the area in a fun, safe and completely free way. Bike Miami is an initiative by City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz to promote bicycling, livable streets and the growing urban neighborhood of Downtown Miami.

Buddy Bike "FREE RENTALS"

Bring your Buddy Bike to enjoy the event or enjoy a 30-minute ride on a Buddy Bike for FREE! Visit the Blue Moon Outdoor Center and Buddy Bike tent on South Miami Avenue at Mary Brickell Village. Riders who sign up for a Buddy Bike Free Rental will have a chance to win a RoadID Gift Certificate. We also have FREE magazines provided by AdventureCycling.org and Bright Feats. Our partner, Blue Moon Outdoor Center, will also offer free bike rentals and giveaways.

ALL riders must wear helmets. We will require riders to sign a release form and to provide either a credit card number or driver's license to be held until the bike is returned. There will be a limited number of bikes available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There will be many other FREE activities for the whole family including: Hourly tours of the Police Horse Stables, Environment & Health/Fitness Fairs at Lummus Landing, Public Rally with community leaders, Yoga Classes, Live Music and entertainment, Bringing Books Alive (kid-friendly live action storytelling), Bike Clinics, Bike Rentals at Lummus Landing, Buddy Bike and other bike rentals at Mary Brickell Village, Giveaways at open businesses along Flagler Street, Tours of the historic Olympia Theater at Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, and more! There will be free Bike Valets at Lummus Landing, Mary Brickell Village and La Epoca Department Store.
